Rigging and Animation Methodology




Character Rigging

- The rig is built with joints that represent the underlying skeletal structure of a quadruped.

- Inverse kinematics are attached from "arm" to "wrist" just as they would be implemented in bipedal creatures. Hand rotations are animated manually.



- Manipulation handles are added to hold animation keyframe information and to simplify the animation process. The manipulation hanldes are the only objects that are touched during animation.
